I am currently looking for good online tutorials and reference code to understand SDIO bus interface, especially the i/o commands CMD52 & CMD53. I have gone through SDIO spec at sdcard.org, but its bit hard to follow. Any pointers would be helpful.

If you really want to "learn" a protocol, block out some time, and implement one half of it. Either get a device and write some low level software, or get an FPGA and write a device. – Chris Stratton May 30 '11 at 8:15
