I would like to like to expand my knowledge on how devices are built and have come up with a semi(probably not though) small project that would I would be able fan out my knowledge as I move through the project.
I would like to eventually make a device that had an RF input as well as a network access port. Being able to "remotely" through the network access port access the device(that could render it webpages) that would tell me information about what was being received into the RF input.
I understand that this probably does sound like a complex device in terms of how it interprets the data and serves the webpages, but I'd like to get a better understanding of how to about building such a device.
Would it require a PCB board with rf and network components attached? Some sort of operating system to interpret and compute the rf input as well as serve the webpages for the remote login?
Any help understanding the direction I need to go in order to start working on this project would be greatly appreciated.
