How does a guitar body affect electromagnetic pickups? "but the pickups don't have any sound to themselves anyway" Disagreed. Resonances in the coil, the type of magnet you use and how worn out the magnet is can have an effect on the sound. |

Should I avoid placing a SMPS inductor close to a magnetometer? Inverse square law should work in this case, however keep in mind that the 10 mA figure is for DC current through a single wire/trace. The inductor will both produce a stronger magnetic field and be a nastier source of interference, because of the AC ripple from the coil when it's being charged and discharged at a high frequency. |

What's the best way to connect a 4-digit 7-Segment LED to Atmega168 That will reduce the intensity, though, as you only have a 25% duty cycle for each individual display. |

How can a PSU be capable of providing more current than it draws from the mains Downvoted because the explanation is a little bit too simplified. It does nothing to explain the crucial point about the voltage being different and total power etc... If I knew "nothing" about electronics, I'd probably be puzzled by that diode in the switch mode supply. Do diodes magically create current? etc. I simply think your explanation does more to confuse than it does to enlighten. |

Photoresist for PCB patterning Easy to find with a simple Google for the title in the anwser: Soopa doopa long link. However, you'd have to shell out $31.50 to read it. |
