(Last updated 2013-04-11.)
I currently work with CAN and CANopen based systems in an industrial setting.
Common items:
- MCP2515 - a CAN controller (taking care of lower levels of CAN)
- MCP2551 - a CAN tranceiver (signal level conditioning, etc.)
Other
I have a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering (M.Sc.E.E.). I have mostly developed software but have also prepared the electronics for an athelete training for production (using Motorola 68HC11 and a PAL to dramatically reduce component count), designed high-precision high-voltage powersupplies, designed a time-delay trigger for a mass spectrometer, and designed a MOSFET-based high-voltage high-speed switch for a mass spectrometer.
As a hobbyist I have built several Z80-based computers for, amongst other things, control of astronomical telescopes.
