Will a 3V3 rated UART be damaged by applying 5V signals? @Passerby I just did it as a blind test with hope that angles do a miracle for me in some way !!!! But I'm really curious why this happens when connect RX to RX and TX to TX ! for sure it shouldn't act like that ... i don't know ... |

Will a 3V3 rated UART be damaged by applying 5V signals? Another odd behavior ... if I connect RX to RX and TX to TX, and send any character with my terminal program, my module responses with double dots ".." ! for example if I send +++ it gives me "......" if I send "AT+WSCAN" response with ".ª.Q....." ... why its functioning like this ? |

Will a 3V3 rated UART be damaged by applying 5V signals? The actual question is, What if my device does not support 5v tolerant ? Will it be damaged with some minor test in 5v ? |

Problem connecting UART Wifi Module to PC Thank you sir. I successfully enter configuration mode( because LEDs not blinking anymore ) but still cant communicate with the module ( I'm trying both wifi software provided with the manufacturer and terminal prgram ) :( ... about your last note, I should say I don't know the last configuration of this module so I can't connect to it with wifi or any access point. |
