Really, simulation and schematic capture are two separate problems, and it would be better to consider them separately. There's hardly a schematic or simulation tool out there that doesn't speak a common netlist format.

Jul 14, 2010 at 2:06 comment added Kevin Vermeer Since 'me' resurrected this thread with the Webtronix program a few hours ago, I thought I'd add for future reference that gEDA does include the Icarus and GTKWave simulators. These take more work than an LTSpice simulation (You either have to add simulation data to all the parts you use, or write up a Verilog simulation), but gEDA (Unlike most PCB design packages) definitely does have a simulator.
