A wireless phone recently stopped working after one of my kids dropped it. I bought a new phone, but I like to tinker with stuff and try to repairtwo- it's just fun to me. Something was rattling inside the broken phone, so I figured a component broke off. When I opened the phone, a component fell out. Upon inspection, I believe it is apinned 13.824 MHz crystal oscillator. I see the pads where it broke away from the pads on a PCB board. One endpad is labeled + and the other is GND. Only problem is that I don't know which is which on the oscillator. There is a single dot at one end and Do two dots at the other. I assume that means + and -, but I'm unclear. Can you please advisepin crystal oscillators have specific polarity? Thanks.
