I've been looking at IRIG-B lately, and while I see that the expected pulse lengths are 2 ms, 5 ms, and 8 ms, I haven't seen specification of how much these pulse lengths are allowed to differ from nominal and still be acceptable.

Is itsimply the designer's choice as to how much slop is acceptable in IRIG pulse lengths, or is it actually spelled out somewhere?
