I'm stress testing(turning them on-off with load every 300 seconds for 1-2 weeks) the components that we are willing to use. have tested several battery chargers with AC input with using a timer relay like this:

My question is what would be the best way of stress testing a DC/DC converter which has input of 800V DC? (This one)

  • \$\begingroup\$ @Marko OP should be very aware of cable/loop/source/device inductance. Without snubber and/or sufficient avalanche rating, a 1200 V device can be toasted on the first turn-off. \$\endgroup\$ – winny Aug 24 '18 at 19:45
