enter image description here Why the load in NMOS with enhancement is always in saturated mode?

  • 1
The load is a "diode connected NMOS". Now ask yourself 1) what makes an NMOS work in saturation mode 2) what does that mean for a diode connected NMOS. Hint: for a diode connected NMOS \$V_{gs}\$ = \$V_{ds}\$ – Bimpelrekkie Nov 10 at 22:20
  • It is not always saturated, it can also be off (although common MOS equations would have trouble modeling that condition). – Edgar Brown Nov 10 at 23:19
  • Is not the Q2 operating point near the transition from Sat to Triode region? – analogsystemsrf Nov 11 at 5:05
