So I have an audio interface that output audio via TRS socket what I want to do is to use my iPhone to record the audio coming out from the audio interface.

What I tried is to create a custom cable. The wiring is as follow

Tip (Left) ─╮ Tip (Left)
Ring (Right) │ Ring (Right)
Ring2 (GND) ─│→ Ring2 (GND)
               ╰→ Sleeve (Microphone)

I want to create a custom cable to route the audio from the the Tip (Left audio source) to the Sleeve (Microphone)

The cable I created was detected but no audio was recorded. Should I solder the Ring (Right) to the microphone too?
