The Quartus System Console is a powerful tool when it comes to design verification. We can use tcl script to read/write memory mapped slaves. I have noticed that in the examples I have seen so far, hard coded hex values have been used to specify the base addresses of the peripherals that were being accessed in the script by System Console.

Base address of all components is contained in the sopcinfo file. Also, I am sure that this information can be found in the .sof file. Since System Console GUI shows the slaves in the System Explorer, it is clear that it is aware of their existance from the design files.

Is there a way by which we can automatically access the base addresses of all peripherals used in the design so that, even if the design changes, our System Console test script does not have to change as well?
