I am working on the fuel gauge by MAX17205 for my project. https://www.maximintegrated.com/en/products/power/battery-management/MAX17205.html

I am able to communicate with the chip using I2C protocol and read the registers. The problem is MAX17205 Coulomb counter (or the State of Charge) is not working or getting enabled. I am able to read the current and voltage registers and it is giving correct values, but all the other values are constant and not changing even after I left it ON for whole day.

I have gone through most of the documents related to it, but right now nothing is working for me.

If somebody has worked with this IC, can you please give me some pointers to debug this?

Also I have also posted this in the Maxim technical forum, but have not got a reply. I cannot post the link because it requires some kind of authentication.

Thank you.

\$\begingroup\$ There are a number of modes of operation and different electrical implementation details. Please post a schematic so we can understand the mode of operation in use. \$\endgroup\$ – Peter Smith Jan 5 at 12:52
