I want to clarify a formula regarding RPM. The formula \$\mathrm{RPM} = 120f/p\$ where \$f\$= frequency and \$p\$= # of poles.

But what if the motor has different slots, for example, a 24 slot stator and 8, 10, 12, etc. poles? What will be the formula to compute the RPM? With the relation of frequency, pole and slot stator.
