I am currently working on an solar powered RC-cart that is being driven by an BLDC. By working on this project I was searching for a way to calculate the acceleration time of the cart. Is there a formula that can be used for calculating the accelaration/deaccelaration time for a BLDC? Thx!

  • \$\begingroup\$ There are a lot of them. You need to tell us more about what you're doing to figure out which one. Are there batteries on the cart, or is it powered entirely by the solar panels? Is the energy from the solar panels fixed? Is this a set homework problem, where you are given assumptions by the teacher, or are you working on real hardware? Can you say, at least in outline, how the power is getting from the panel to the BLDC? (I.e., are there some switching converters involved, or are you going straight from panel to ESC?)
