I am slightly unsure as to how I should interpret the normalization output vs FOV plot of the ZTP-115M datasheet (page 2)

My question is 2-fold:

  1. Do IR light sources beyond some FOV angle contribute less to the total signal output of the sensor by some normalization difference? For example (for horizontal): if a pin-point IR source at 0 degrees outputs 2V, will the same pin-point IR source placed at +5 degrees then output approx. 1V? (of course assuming nothing else is present in the FOV)

  2. Looking at the horizontal and vertial lines for the plot it seems that the object to be measured in vertical direction is skewed to the +degree direction with regard to sensor sensitivity, is this correct?

Thanks for any help!
