Hi is there anyway I can do this? I need to have my serial number in eeprom. But the problem is my data has been erased when I burn new firmware. Is there anyway I can avoid this. Thanks

  • \$\begingroup\$ How exactly are you burning the new firmware? \$\endgroup\$ – CL. Apr 17 at 17:17

\$\begingroup\$ The data sheet for the MS430f532x makes no mention of any EEPROM being present in this device. Are you using some emulation scheme in flash? \$\endgroup\$ – Chris Stratton Apr 17 at 17:25
  • \$\begingroup\$ MSP430s usually have an “information flash” section with smaller blocks which you can use for EEPROM emulation. Is that what you’re using? \$\endgroup\$ – Tony K Apr 17 at 18:29
  • \$\begingroup\$ I use MSP430s, but don't know the answer. I don't think that there are enough MSP430 users here to help. TI has forums for their products, my question was answered quickly there. e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f \$\endgroup\$ – Mattman944 Apr 18 at 10:40
