I am attempting to communicate with a winbond memory chip over SPI with the STM32L4VG. I am first just trying to read the manufacturing ID and my results are never consistent. Running the same code twice in the debugger will not yield the same results. I generated parts of the code with CubeMX and am using the HAL SPI libraries. Any advice?

  • \$\begingroup\$ The STM32L4 is a development board. The memory chip is run to a breadboard and then to the development board. Oscilloscope readings look correct, but values read when debugging are not correct. \$\endgroup\$ Apr 19 '19 at 16:27
