I need a device that can maintain the current of an variable electrical signal while manipulating current and overall power. Example 10a 0-24v 0-240w.

And the theory behind a device which will work as a switch operating at a consistent wattage but increase and decrease amps and volts proportionate to one another at that wattage.

  • \$\begingroup\$ It's certainly possible. You could use your favourite kind of DC-DC converter, but change the feedback so that instead of measuring the output voltage, it measures the output voltage and current and calculates the output power. \$\endgroup\$ – immibis May 22 at 23:25
  • \$\begingroup\$ you can buy DC DC converter modules witjh a constant-power mode search aliexpress for "DC-DC CV CC" and click the ones with three blue potentiometers). one of the potse sets max input current, by using a fixed voltage to power the module you can then set the output power. +/- a little efficiency variation \$\endgroup\$ – Jasen May 22 at 23:31
