(I'm very new to electronics/electricity.)

I'm currently using a complex ACS712 / Arduino / Raspberry Pi to activate a relay when battery is above 13.8V volts. (See 12V - How to activate an electric item if battery is full)

Is it possible to use a battery charge controller to the same effect without problems?

Like this one:

Instead of the charger, I wanted to put the load and the electricity should go the other way? (Or is it more complex than that? - diodes or something?)

\$\begingroup\$ Probably not, but that cannot be answered without a schematic of the charger. Your idea of "full" is hardly definite anyway, as conditions in the real world will vary day to day. \$\endgroup\$ – Chris Stratton Aug 5 at 14:23
