\$\begingroup\$ Welcome to EE.SE - when we are presented with what appear to be homework questions (we are just getting into prime season for that) then we want to see an attempt to solve; otherwise the question will usually be put on hold and ultimately closed. \$\endgroup\$ – Peter Smith Sep 12 at 11:20
  • \$\begingroup\$ usually a linear regulator needs to operate the comparison-circuit, here the 2-transistor differential-pair, as a linear amplifier; can you show the region of operation for this differential-pair? for example, what is the voltage of the shared-emitters node? \$\endgroup\$ – analogsystemsrf Sep 12 at 11:34
