I want to add resistors to my guitar pedal circuit to remove any popping noise when switching the pedal on and off (actually on and to bypass).

Found an article about that, but the values for recommended series resistors are not mentioned (Figure below).

Can anyone help me figure out what values should I use?

Doesn't the output series resistor mess up the output impedance?
