I am seeking to activate the DFU mode in the B-L072 Discovery Module using the Murata CMWX1ZZABZ-091 module. https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00329995.pdf

I have kept BOOT0 pin to HIGH and connected a USB cable to the CN11 USB connector. But STM32prog does not detect the DFU bootloader. Also the device manager does not detect the board. Tried using DFuse also, then uninstalled that and started using STM32prog and did all as asked under the STM32prog PDF UM2237. I also shorted the SB16 & SB15 points to enable the USB DP-DM connection.

Also, uploading code by USART is also not working. Connected an external USB-UART to PA9 & PA10. The USART also does not connect. 😞

What am i missing here? Any help would be deeply appreciated...

  • \$\begingroup\$ You have to cycle power off/on to make BOOT pins take effect. \$\endgroup\$ – Marko Buršič Feb 10 at 12:47
  • \$\begingroup\$ Pulsing reset pin is enough after setting BOOT0 high. \$\endgroup\$ – Justme Feb 10 at 13:02
  • \$\begingroup\$ I have done all that.. No effect after reset pulsed or power mmade on/off.. I am connecting only the CN11 UBS connector, and not the CN7 STLINK USB connector.. Hope am correct.. \$\endgroup\$ – Jithin Saji Isaac Feb 11 at 3:50
  • \$\begingroup\$ For a Nucleo F401RE, connected the Boot0 to VDD, PA11 to USBDM & PA12 to USBDP.. and it works great! Both DFU mode and USART upload mode... But sadly doesnt work for the B-L072 Discovery board \$\endgroup\$ – Jithin Saji Isaac Feb 11 at 11:34
