New here and first question:

Any idea what this component is and it's specs? Markings look like morse code which reads "XTK" and what looks like .A. It is part of a circuit for LED, back lit, press buttons. I need to source a replacement as one of them came broken out the box.

I'm not well versed in the electronics arts, so please excuse my ignorance.

\$\begingroup\$ It's a diode of some description, can you add a photo of the surrounding area, or say what the circuit is for? \$\endgroup\$ – Colin May 11 at 6:57

\$\begingroup\$ It is a diode of some description (The silk screen D8 gives it away - the markings you refer to identify the cathode). \$\endgroup\$ – Peter Smith May 11 at 8:04

  • \$\begingroup\$ Thanks gents. It is a diode, tests to 0.620k. The coding is interesting to me. \$\endgroup\$ – Griffon345 May 12 at 7:20
