I've searched the internet for my specific use-case but had no solution.

I have a circuit set up with PIC16F877A which perfectly displays a hard-coded text on a 16x2 LCD. But I want to change that text via the internet from a website (or a Flutter developed app). For example, The user enters some text in a text box and that is displayed on the LCD.

My main concern is that I cannot use Arduino since this is for a college project and it is not allowed.

I'm still learning this stuff and I would be really grateful if someone can give me some help.
