So, I cannot really wrap my head around this. I can see from phones that eSIM is becoming more and more common, however I am not completely sure how this works.

I wanted to find an eSIM IC ready to use, but I cannot seem to find one from the normal global distributors. To my understanding this is because eSIM is something typically provided together with an MNO or MVNO.

So due to the lack of a specific chip, I also have some trouble understanding how this technically works. I can image the IC most likely an MFF2 style IC, connects to the modem just like a standard simcard, but how does one program it?

Any help and explanation appreciated.
