I have a mikrochip's CEC1702 based board and a TIVA tm4c123 launchpad with onboard debugger. I wish go program the CEC board but datasheet suggests it can only be programmed via JTAG. Can I use the TIVA's onboard debugger for this purpose? I do not have a segger jlink.

  • \$\begingroup\$ Unlikely... typically on-board JTAG solutions are for that target only. But you could use some GPIOs on a raspberry pi, or an FT2232H, or many other things, do some web searching on your options as they're beyond the specificity requirement of stack exchange. A lot of this will be driven by what software you need to use to drive the JTAG, eg something like OpenOCD present a huge variety of options, while some vendor unique software may have an extremely short list of supported JTAG adatpers... \$\endgroup\$ – Chris Stratton Nov 28 '20 at 0:06
