I am trying to print a PCB board on a Botfactory SV2. The board I am trying to print was provided to me via thingiverse. I have the zip file containing the gerber files that creator gave to a company to print the boards for them in the past. When I go to that supplier (Seeedstudio) and upload the zip it is able to create the board. It appears to be 2 layers base on their file import. However when I upload the zip file to the printer it says it is missing the outline file (.gm1)and the conductive print job files. I am brand new to printing PCBs. Can anyone tell me or help me create/convert to get the necessary files? The original zip is at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lCuWzAF6E9yD_Kz1-s4j_sS26ivW02GY/view?usp=sharing

  • \$\begingroup\$ so, you've got a board that you don't know the quality of, with a supplier you don't specify, missing something you don't understand? \$\endgroup\$ – Marcus Müller Jan 13 at 20:48
  • \$\begingroup\$ @MarcusMüller I have added some more details. Hopefully that will help. I have been tasked with this at my job and the person on staff who does understand this is on vacation with no phone/email access for the next couple weeks. \$\endgroup\$ – bmartin598 Jan 13 at 20:56
  • \$\begingroup\$ seeedstudio has documentation on how the files need to be named for the system to recognize the layers – did you follow that? \$\endgroup\$ – Marcus Müller Jan 13 at 21:00
  • \$\begingroup\$ Are you sure you're supposed to upload the zipped gerbers to your printer and not all the individual files? \$\endgroup\$ – brhans Jan 13 at 21:20
  • \$\begingroup\$ Easy solution, have Seeedstudio fab the boards for you again. The BotFactory may need more configuration than just the files in that zip. \$\endgroup\$ – rdtsc Jan 13 at 21:37
