As you know, asimple amplifier with input to its + and out shorted to - its output will follow its input almost exactly.

Where is it's input reference input? How I can connect it to the desired reference rather than its default?

There is a way to implement a DC offset instead of changing references, like summing in other question, but this is a question other than my main job which needs other question. I'm curious about unity gain amplifier references, and why it doesn't accept any reference.

    \$\begingroup\$ In that situation the input is the reference, so the output is always equal to the input. Do you want to apply a DC offset? \$\endgroup\$

  • \$\begingroup\$ I’m not certain that I understand your requirements but if I do understand correctly then you could bias the op amp input to the desired voltage and then couple that to the mic using a capacitor. This way you can have any DC difference between the microphone and the output \$\endgroup\$

    \$\begingroup\$ "It must be DC coupled." Why do you need DC coupling for a microphone? Audio goes down to 20 Hz minimum so DC coupling is not required. I suspect you need AC coupling on the input and DC on the output of the op-amp. \$\endgroup\$
