I am working in a project to extend a pressure transmitter with a second pressure sensor (half-bridge strain gauge).

This extension will use an op-amp (MCP6N16T-100) to amplify the signal and a voltage reference (MCP1501T-10) used as reference for the op-amp.

The 4-layer circuit is based on an TI MSP430G2995 and has among others analog and digital +3.3 V supply voltages and only one GND plane.

My question is: how should I supply the strain gauge sensor, the op-amp and voltage reference?

  1. Should I supply the strain gauge with +3V3A and both components with +3V3D

or

  1. Should I supply everything with +3V3D

or

  1. Should I supply everything with +3V3A?
