I am reading in the book "Microwave filters, impedance-matching networks, and coupling structures" by Matthei, Young & Jones about step transformers in waveguides. An example of the calculation of such a transition is given there. I don't understand the line: "From Table 6.04-2, the b dimensions of such a transformer are ...". The table shows only the required resistances for each step, but it is not clear how their height follows from them.
