A pressure sensor's datasheet (https://meritsensor.com/assets/documents/pdf/HM-series.pdf) says its optional temperature sensing diode has tempco between -4mV/K and -1mV/K for -40° to 150°C. I was under the impression a diode's tempco is -2mV/K, which is pretty much constant at "normal" temperatures. Is this correct and can the wide range in the datasheet narrowed down if the temperature range is limited to say 20° to 50°C? If not, why does the tempco vary so much?

\$\begingroup\$ You might be misinterpreting what it says. I take it to mean the the tempco is constant across the temperature range but, has a value for any particular device between -4 and -1. I could easily be wrong of course. \$\endgroup\$
