I have a project to "repair" an Imac as an external screen because its motherboard is out of order and I discovered that I could use the LM270WQ1-SDB3 screen controller to do it ... but I also want to make a custom version of it (because it's fun ... yeah my life sucks XD).

What I've found so far are datasheets on the screen, but nothing on the controller. And I really need to have all the data because I kind of want to put it all in one PCB and custom-mount it.

Here's the datasheet of the screen ... even if I do not know what it's usefull in my case: LG Display LM270WQ1-SDB3

  • \$\begingroup\$ If anyone has the design files of an Apple product they would be for sure breaking the law if they shared it freely online, you understand that, right? \$\endgroup\$

  • \$\begingroup\$ Not the controller board. It's from another product (of the brand LG) that's compatible.... and in a way, what you just said is wrong, I got the boardview of the motherboard of the Imac I'm working on (820-2901). New ones are indeed complicated to get ... but that's not really the point here. The controller board is an LG which is quite old, that's why I'm asking (knowing that I have little chance of getting it ... but I'm trying anyway). \$\endgroup\$
