HX711 chip not working

I think in your schematic that you haven't tied AGND into proper GND: - The above is a sample circuit I found on google that clearly shows that AGND connects to a GND symbol and your circuit doesn't ...

What benefits are there to programming an MSP430 in C/C++ over Energia?

I think that the main benefits on a full-fledged environnement (as Code composer) over Energia: 1) Able to program the whole family of MSP430 microcontrollers, and not only a few selected ...

Using Energia, how do I get around disableWatchDog() locking up my program?

The Watch Dog timer is crucial for Energia's implementation of millis and delay, which in turn is needed for Serial. It should not be manually disabled if you intend to use Serial. Serial and other ...

How do you restart the MSP430 Launchpad programmatically with Energia?

You can't do a BOR or POR directly in code for Valueline MSP430G2xxx. You can do a partial reset PUC though. You can do three things for a reset: Full reset by pulling the RST pin low. You have to ...

How do you implement an Energia interrupt handler?

One more reason for not using that Arduino libraries, you first need to find out what happens in the background. That, coupled with only the limited debug capability. Apparently, the Arduino Library ...

Only one attachInterrupt works at a time

For the pins that support pin change interrupts (P1, P2), each pin has a flag that controls which edge the interrupt is triggered on. This means that the pin cannot trigger an interrupt for a rising ...

When do you release and re-aquire control over SDA around an i2c Ack?

Most of your problem is probably going to be due to the fact that you are setting these lines high instead of letting them float. SDA and SCL go high because there is a resistor pulling them up to +V,...

MSP430 Energia Basics ReadAnalogVoltage output 11 Volt

The MSP430F5529 has a 12-bit ADC, which means that its maximum output value is 4095, not 1023. This explains why your output value is exactly 4 times what you expect. You have to divide by 4095 ...

MSP-EXP432 "Analog In" pin taking voltage from circuit

You need to make sure that the analog input pin has been configured as an analog input. If you don't, the digital circuitry will interfere with the analog function. For the MSP432 this is typically ...

When do you release and re-aquire control over SDA around an i2c Ack?

Whenever a bit is transmitted, the writer drives SDA (or not) immediately after SCL goes low, and the reader reads the state of SDA when SCL goes high. (SCL going high might be delayed by the slave ...

How do you use low-power mode on an MSP430G2553 using an Energia sketch?

LPM modes are turned on by setting the appropriate bits in the status register: _bis_SR_register(LPM1_bits); Any LPM mode is automatically turned off when the ...

How do you programmatically detect pin count on an MSP430G2553?

The method below will tell you if a pin exists on the controller. So, to determine if we're using a 20 or a 28 pin controller, select a Digital Pin that is > 20 and pass it as the parameter to the ...

How do I store analog input into the msp430 nonvolatile memory?

You don't need to use the Energia libraries all the time; you can access the registers of the flash controller directly. But Energia also ships with the MspFlash ...

interfacing external push button to msp430 using energia

Per OP in comments, as questioned by @TomCarpenter, the issue was the orientation of the 4 pin tact switch OP was using. The switched connection was not being used, tying P1.3 to ground permanently.
