Sometimes also referred to as signal processing, although some authors give to this latter term a more specific meaning. That is, for some authors signal processing is a sub-branch of signal theory more focused on the engineering of manipulating signals (e.g. design of digital filters, efficient algorithms for Fourier analysis like FFT, etc.).
