My childhood was marked not only by coding and building computers (in the 1980s) I also enjoyed the privilege of tearing apart many electrical devices - a number of which would make my mother cringe - and then frankenstein'ing the parts together.
This disorder was contained by a PreTechnology course that educated me in calculus and basic electronics and I followed it with a Computer Engineering course that, sadly, I dropped out of after only two semesters [of 6] due to health issues.
Twenty years later and working in a different field I became disabled and restarted my love for all things electronics. However, it feels like I'm an absolute beginner but I have studied and modelled and purchased more electronic components than my desk or wife allows. A year later (2021) I am feeling like my knowledge of electronics is rapidly expanding.
