I did not go through this in my answer since Majenko already answered it, I am just trying to give you other options.

Dec 21, 2011 at 17:59 | comment | added | vicatcu | @vijay if you just want to sense the change in resistance, you're probably feeding the "signal" into a high impedance input (e.g. an Analog-to-Digial converter) and that's why Kellenjb's subsequent suggestion of a voltage is a much simpler and adequate solution for your needs.
Dec 21, 2011 at 17:54 | comment | added | vijay | what will be the variation voltage with one degree rotation of potentiometer
Dec 21, 2011 at 17:43 | comment | added | Kellenjb | @vijay that sounds like a voltage divider would be a better fit. It would be good for you to include all of this information in your questions.
Dec 21, 2011 at 17:07 | comment | added | vijay | my doubt is cleared now.. i gonna use this as sensor... that is while we rotate the potentiometer(when used in voltage divider) there will be a variation in output voltage. finally i have to calibrate the voltage variation to show the angle at which the potentiometer is rotated..
