In the cold light of day, I also thought to use a higher output regulator (doh!) to compensate for the diode forward drop. But a regulator with reverse protection seems a better solution, not least of which is the lower and temperature consistent reverse leakage current. I am thinking of using the Richoh RP173x. | |
