Dec 13, 2019 at 4:44 comment added Neil_UK Like all AC measurements, the nominal peak is 1.414 (sqrt(2)) times the nominal RMS, so 14kV. With NSTs, with their high inductive output impedance, you have to be careful into what load the nominal is specified. However, 10kV will give you a much better stab at a simple spark gap coil than 3kV.
