Aug 18 at 18:16 comment added Justme @CarlosGarcia Basic usage of chips, do not feed in voltages to data pins that are beyond supply voltages. Which means, if chip is powered by 3.3V supply, do not input 5V. If chip is powered by 0V supply, do not input 3.3V. Exceptions apply and always refer to data sheet what is allowed and what isn't, or you risk damage to chips.
