Consider this youTube video where the video shows a representation of a person's bare feet and how their body mass is distributed across their feet and how their feet are moving to different positions on two compared surfaces as they shift their feet while standing relatively statically. What are some DIY ways for gathering this data? The solution must be a relatively transparent way to gather the data in that the measuring device may be overlaid upon a surface that we wish to measure without significantly impacting the feel, shape of the surface to be measured. (In the above video, they had a contoured surface that was spongy and a fixed flat floor surface.)
I found this Arduino platform called snowboard (see base sensor here), but it appears somewhat complex to adopt this solution. Are there any other Arduino like solutions that may not entail such complexity? Bottom line is looking for a solution that is not too difficult for a novice. One that is relatively easy to get up and running to collect data without the need to write custom software, build new hardware, etc.
