Can I use 8pF 200ohm 10MHz crystal with ATMega88 w/o caps?
I'm trying to save board space. I know crystals typically have 20-30 pF ratings, and need 20-ish pF caps to ground.
I found this crystal: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/AVX-Kyocera/CX3225GB1000 …

Using 22pF load caps with 16MHz crystal on atmega328p fails to work
Check the quality of the caps. From what I've read, ceramic caps come in all sorts of flavors and qualities, and you should get caps that are designed for use with crystals.
