Dec 13, 2016 at 23:20 comment added Cal-linux I had thought about the delay issue, but at ~ 1 or 2MHz, I doubt the effect would be noticeable. Still, your point remains valid. As for the gain mismatch, I thought that would be equally an issue for the differential-output amp (seeing that we need to place a feedback network on each side), but looking carefully at the AD8138 datasheet, they specifically insist that the outputs are internally balanced and "guaranteed" identical magnitude and opposite sign (180 degrees apart), so I guess I'm sold.
