Aug 5, 2017 at 22:23 | comment | added | pericynthion | The answers have done a good job of identifying this one, but it's important to be aware that lots of different components can come in a TO-220 package, not just MOSFETs. Some common ones would be BJTs, IGBTs, SCRs, diodes, resistors, voltage regulators, etc.

edit photo for readability (increase brightness, sharpen, correct color temperature)

Aug 5, 2017 at 12:22 | comment | added | Tom Carpenter | Probably it is more likely some form of dual common-cathode rectifier diode (similar to this).
Aug 5, 2017 at 12:17 | comment | added | Scrapper | I'm 100% sure it's never been opened before. I got it off my dad who was throwing it away and he's a super safety freak. He was the only owner and would never open it, let along modify it. On the other half of the PCB, it was also heatshrinked along with a few other wires, so it had to have been part of the original design. Plus it has designated holes to solder the wires to.
Aug 5, 2017 at 12:05 | comment | added | LorenzoDonati4Ukraine-OnStrike | That doesn't seem to be part of the original design, but a hack or a bodge added as an afterthought. Are you sure the power supply had not been serviced/hacked before?
