I know that bluetooth 4.0
is using layer level AES 128bit for security .
There is something ,which basically is not clear to me. We are sending data to some BLE 4.0 station , where the station is advertising data, and a mobile phone is picking the signal, than connect to it, and send it data .
What interesting is, that all BLE are advertising public data, that anyone can listen to. Moreover, even if we use PIN code, the moment i send the PIN code, after connection, anyone can also listen to it, and resend it ,thats because all the communication in the 4.0 is transparent to everyone .
What is the basic method , to secure connection with BLE (using Texas cc5240
chips) ?
A private/public key ? (seems overkill) Any other encryption will anyway be transparent to anyone who just listen to my transmutations.
