I need help identifying the following chip. Appreciate any help that I can get.

Here are the markings:

3S6538
  1348

If anyone can identify the logo that would be good as well.

Eight years ago and still not identified? Let try to get closer...

Of all logos I saw on this website, the logo of Averlogic Technologies seemed to be the closest match. Unfortunately I couldn't find examples of sop8 chips with their logo to compare. It appears their lineup is mostly related to video processing, Judging from the LED on your picture, that PCB seems to be some sort of IR-remote daughterboard?
