Lets say I have a setup where an AC transformer is outputting 50 Amps at 240 volts from the secondary for some other process and I add an additional purely resistive load that pulls 100 amps at 240 volts … The purely resistive load has no inductance so I wouldn't have a voltage spike, but the transformer has inductance. …
