One solution is to use an expensive high gauge (7 mm2)cable, to reduce the voltage drop - but that cable is also much more difficult to hide. I can't bury it without tripling the length. … When the voltage drops in the cable, is that also wasted Watt-hours? A few lamps will happily run on fewer volts. I am more worried about losing Wh's. Two batteries in parallel by a long cable

Will both batteries eventually be fully charged, or will the battery on the long end have a lower voltage/charge due to voltage drop in the cable? … As the difference in voltage between battery A and B is being reduced, the current on the cable should drop - and this will reduce the voltage drop due to resistance in the cable, I am assuming? …
