A passive infrared sensor (PIR sensor) is an electronic sensor that measures infrared (IR) light radiating from objects in its field of view. They are most often used in PIR-based motion detectors.
The PIR (Passive-Infrared) sensor functions in the same way as an outdoor light with a motion detector and reacts to movements made by objects that radiate heat (people and animals). The switching threshold can be set from between 0% and 100%.
