I know the basics about opto-isolator. I'm not sure what would be the value of an appropriate pull-up resistor. i'm also wondering what zener diodes to use in my case. i'm also not sure of the role of D3 here.
Ok thanks guys. I tried a circuit with a differential amplifier some time ago but i ended up with mainly a white noise. I must have had it wrong. I'll give it an other try tomorrow.
